This simple yet delicious cranberry apple crisp is a perfect fall dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 can whole berry or jellied cranberry sauce
  • 4 large apples, pealed, cored, and diced

Instructions

  1. Preaheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix first five ingredients together.
  2. Spread cranberry sauce into an 9×13 baking dish. layer apples on top.
  3. Sprinkle with crisp topping.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes until the topping begins to brown at the edges.
  5. Serve while hot with a dollop of homemade whipped cream
  6. Enjoy!

Notes

For best results, if you’re using gluten-free flour, it’s best to use a flour that hasn’t been mixed with a starch. Rice, sorghum, and millet flour are good choices.
