Are you new to The Frugal Farm Wife? Welcome to my site. I am a Gluten-Free Recipe and Frugal Living blogger, and I am so very happy to have you here!

I know there is a sea of recipe blogs out there and I am thrilled that you have taken time out of your busy day to stop by mine.  Let me give you a quick tour so that you know what to expect here and so you don’t miss out on anything!

Simple DIY Projects

Living frugally can be attained in many ways, and one of them is through simple DIY projects like these. It also happens to be fun, and in cases such body products like homemade baby lotion, and homemade cough drops, healthier!

Thanks to the specific food allergies in our family, we’ve also gotten creative with things like making our own Gluten-Free Playdoh. I can honestly say that I never realized how many non-food products contained gluten!

Gluten-Free Recipes

There is nothing more satisfying than creating meals from scratch. Cooking is my passion, and when we first went gluten-free because of my husband’s food allergies, I thought my days of kitchen experimentation were over – or at least that the fun had been taken out of them. But not so! Gluten-free baking and cooking may be a whole new world, and it takes some time to learn, but it is very possible, and actually very easy, to make delicious gluten-free recipes from scratch.

On this site, you’ll find everything from lots of slow cooker recipes, to gluten-free bread recipes, and everything in between! Possibly my favorite recipe is Avocado-Lime Ranch Dressing, and everybody’s favorite is Healthy No-Bake Cookies. If you only have time for two recipes, these are the must haves!

Frugal Living

We of The Frugal Farm Wife (and by “we”, I mean me and my husband, although his participation mostly consists of leaning over my shoulder), are big believers in living frugally. Why? It’s the principal of making sacrifices in areas that of little importance, to leave more room for areas, or goals that really matter.

In the frugal living section of this site, you’ll find everything from cloth diapering tips and reviews, to tips on how to stretch what you already have, to shopping strategies, such as our popular article on The $20 Grocery Budget, and even How to Get Produce For Free.

Family

Since I’m a stay-at-home mom, you can bet that you’ll find lot of family related articles here. One of my favorite things to write about is cloth diapering. Who knew that diapers could be so fun!? Occasionally, we also dive into the ever controversial topics of kids and parenting, but I’ll be honest, I’m not much for controversy, so I typically like to stick to factual articles, like diaper reviews, and indoor toddler activities.

All of these topics and categories can be found in the navigation bar above this page. You can also search for specific articles by using the search box in the left hand sidebar which appears just above the “popular articles” section on every page.

I hope you find everything you need here on The Frugal Farm Wife, and if you have suggestions, or questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I try to answer every email personally!
